Chataigne lets your customers order directly on WhatsApp, writing to your restaurant the way they would write to a friend โ€” no app to download, no account to create. An AI clerk takes the order, collects the payment and organizes delivery or pickup. On your side, Chataigne gives you a dashboard to follow your orders in real time, manage customer conversations, check your data and run your promotions, while orders flow straight into your POS.

What your customer experiences

Before diving into the restaurant view, it helps to understand the other side of the phone:
1

They write to your WhatsApp number

They are first asked for their address, so they can be routed to the right restaurant.
2

They choose: delivery or pickup

The fulfilment mode shapes the rest of the journey.
3

The menu is pushed to them

They order either through a form or in natural language, by text or voice message.
4

They confirm their order

The AI clerk recaps: items, options, price, fulfilment mode.
5

They pay inside WhatsApp

They receive a payment link and pay directly, without leaving the conversation.
Then the experience depends on the chosen mode:
  • Click & collect: the AI clerk tells them when to come and pick up their order, based on the preparation time you configured. A few minutes before that time is up, they receive a message telling them to come and collect it.
  • Delivery: they receive a tracking link to follow their courier, and can choose the handover verification method: photo or code. Everything happens inside WhatsApp.

How everything fits together on the restaurant side

Chataigne plugs into the tools you already use: your POS, a payment service provider (PSP) and a delivery network. The POS. Orders placed on WhatsApp land directly in your POS, like any other order, and your menu is synchronized automatically from the POS. Chataigne integrates directly with Zelty, Square, Oracle Simphony, Innovorder, Dood, Splash, Izipass, QSR Link and Biborne, and through the Hubrise and Deliverect hubs with dozens of other POS systems. Payments (PSP). The customer pays online, inside the conversation, through a secure payment provider: Stripe or Nepting. The money is then transferred to your bank account. Delivery. Two options, which can be combined: your own couriers if you have them, or on-demand couriers through Uber Direct. And for customers who prefer to come and pick up their order, click & collect is built into the journey.
