At the restaurant level or the chain level?
There are two places to create a promotion, depending on your situation:- At the restaurant level: the promotion is created from the location’s menu. This is the standard case for an independent restaurant.
- At the organization level, for a chain: the promotion is created once at the network level, then applies to the chain’s restaurants. That is what guarantees the same offer everywhere, without recreating it restaurant by restaurant.
The types of promotions
The system is very flexible. You can create:The conditions
Every promotion can be framed:- dated in time: a start and an end date (launch offer, deal of the month…);
- minimum order amount;
- first order only, to convert new customers;
- usable once per customer, or continuously;
- stackable or not with other promotions;
- with a promo code, optional.
The visibility levels
Every promotion has a level that decides how your customers get access to it:- Public: the promotion is visible to everyone, in the sense that anyone who asks for it gets it. A customer writes “any deals at the moment?”, the AI clerk offers it. It does not spontaneously push it.
- Pushed: the AI clerk actively puts it forward, like a waiter suggesting today’s offer.
- Hidden: you need a non-public piece of information to benefit from it. Most often that is the code (perfect for a flyer, a campaign or a partnership: only those who have the code benefit). But it can also go through the AI instructions: for example, you work with a list of partner companies; you create the promotion as hidden and tell the AI clerk “when someone says they come from this company, apply the promo”. It works.
- Negotiate: somewhat on demand. The AI clerk can grant the promotion through negotiation, for example to keep a hesitant customer. You choose the negotiation difficulty (easy, medium, hard), that is, how much the AI clerk resists before giving in.
Create your promotion, step by step
1
Choose the type
Percentage, fixed amount, free item, buy one get one, buy X get Y, or free delivery.
2
Define the offer
The percentage or amount of the discount, or the products involved.
3
Set the conditions
Start and end dates, minimum amount, first order only, single or repeated use, stackable or not.
4
Choose the visibility
Public, pushed, hidden (with its code or AI instruction) or negotiate (with its difficulty).
5
Name it and activate it
A clear name, an easy-to-remember code if you use one. Once activated, the promotion is immediately picked up by the AI clerk.
