You can create links and QR codes on demand, as many as you want. A Chataigne link opens a WhatsApp conversation with your restaurant directly; the QR code is the same link, to scan. Every medium carrying one becomes an entry point to ordering.
Punctual or long term
Think of your links by lifespan:
- Long term: the window sticker, the Instagram bio link, the website pop-up. They live for months; their statistics tell the underlying trend.
- Punctual: the flyer for an operation, the QR for an event, the link for a campaign. They live a few weeks; their statistics measure the operation.
Special case: Google Maps. Use the direct WhatsApp link meant for it, to place on your listing.
The pre-filled message: the key to tracking
With each link, you can attach a pre-filled message: the text already written in the input field when the customer opens the conversation. All they have to do is press send.
It matters for two reasons:
- It removes friction. A customer facing an empty field hesitates; a customer facing “Hi, I’d like to order 🍕” presses send.
- It is the source of truth for tracking. The pre-filled message is what tells you which medium each customer comes from. A different message per medium (flyer, window, Instagram, Google Maps…), and you know exactly what each channel brings you.
You can also give each link a title to find it easily and follow it in your statistics.
The statistics
Every link is measured: you see what each medium generates and you can compare. Did last weekend’s flyer bring orders? Does the Instagram bio convert better than Google Maps? That is what lets you invest in the right place.
Create one link per medium rather than a single link everywhere: that is
what keeps the statistics readable and your marketing investments comparable.
